Jacob's Pillow

There is a bit of insanity in dancing that does everyone a great deal of good.
Edwin Denby

I had decided that this summer would be spent stepping outside of my comfort zone and photograph subjects that were completely foreign to me. Music festivals and dance.

Having spent the last week of August at the legendary modern dance company , " Jacob's Pillow "  In Becket , Ma.  Dancer/choreographer Ted Shawn brought the Carter family farm back in 1931.And the rest as they say , is history.

The workshop was taught by former dancer , award winning photographer and author Rose Eichenbaum. Her vast experience and knowledge was just what I needed as a ducky in unfamiliar territory. It was a pleasure and honor to spend the week under her guidance .

An amazing group of artist and photographers. Talented , helpful and kind , as was everyone at Jacob's Pillow . It was an experience that I will carry with me where ever my whacky little trail continues.Thank you all , along with all my classmates that were such a help to me.

Special thanks to Rita Foley , who without her inspiration and encouragement this special week would of never happened.

thank you CJ , I appreciate your kind words. I'm sure you and Richard would love this . The workshop is the last week of the season and the big blow out gala on the final night is a great show and party. Was worth it for that alone. ;O)

You and Richard can go out and dance with the stars that night.
