Feels Like Home

raised in the city streets with the people , noise , traffic and the chaos I always feel safe no matter what city I happen to be in , I understand , follow and dance along with it's rhythm and heartbeat. Yet there is something about walking the docks and harbors at night and bobbing the oceans that overwhelms me with the feeling that I'm home.

there have been times I spent weeks riding the Atlantic ocean and nothing compares to the quiet and peaceful nature of a calm , clear night , when the stars are the only company one has to pass the otherwise total darkness. peaceful , freeing and liberating the heart , mind and soul.

Gertrude Stein once said  " America is my country and Paris is my hometown. "

When it comes to the cities along with the harbors , docks and ocean I understand exactly what she meant.

- A love song by Bobby Long.

A beautiful , fragile rose of a voice that was on a meteoric rise to fame and destruction.
