Scouting the Sacandaga

Today was spent scouting two of the 3 branches of the Sacandaga river. The Sacandaga and the East branch. This is an area I will probably spend the next month working.

Along with the wildflowers pushing up on the highways and byways there are plenty of waterfalls , ponds , lakes and backroad drives to keep anyone busy for a long time.

Above is a photo of the East branch of the Sacandaga at the old long gone town of Griffin NY on route 8.

Thoughts rattling around in my head

I can remember the nuns leading me by the ear , but for the life of me I can't remember anyone ever having to lead me by the hand.

It's easy to gain the love and admiration of a child.One just has to get down low so that they can look you in the eyes on their own two feet.

Every photographer has their own rules they use to achieve success , success for me comes from breaking everyone of them.

Mathematics is the purist language of all . Whether they realize it or not scientist are learning to talk in the same language God speaks.

It is with photography that I'm able to talk with God in a way that we both understand each other.

Baseball is life itself , no matter where you are the goal is always the same . To get home safe and sound .
